Catching Up

Busy Busy Busy.

So last week we went to Patoka Lake with the Hess Family. We rented a cabin for two nights. It was a good time, better than what I thought. It was crazy busy though. It's hard work to "camp".-- All the stuff you have to pack, then you have to cook your meals, living out of a suitcase. I wouldn't call it relaxing, but just a nice getaway.

This weekend kicked off the 150th Birthday "Sesquicentennial" celebration in Tell City. Saturday was a parade with over 150 entries. We walked with the Democrat float. The parade was the fastest paced parade I've even been in. We were power walking, with no breaks/slowdowns, throughout the whole thing. It was hot and humid and I was pulling the wagon with Blake. Shew! I was hot, sweaty, and tired.

Sunday was the Kids Day activities. Tons of stuff for the kiddos. They had a pet show too. The boys participated in the streetcar parade. You create your own kid "float" and they have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies for 3 age groups. I bet there were over 100 entries and we won 3rd!

This week is pretty busy with activities as well. I'll be working in Evansville 3 days this week so it'll be tough to fit everything in.
