Woo Hoo! Our American Cancer Society Relay for Life team, Downtown Brown, relayed last night at the annual Perry County event. We came in 1st place! We broke the Perry County record for raising over $10,000. We actually came in with a little over $11,800.
The second place team brought in around $5,000 and the third place brought in $4,800.
We smoked the competition!
We worked hard for it though, selling anything under the sun as a fundraiser plus have yard sales, concession stands, and even working a Bingo.
I'm dog tired though. Staying up all night walking around a track is hard on a person! Especially in the heat we had yesterday. It was miserable.
