Mainly, all the action has happened in the past week. First off, I get an incredible job offer with Indigo501 and Stone Tablets Consulting, which I graciously accepted. I will be turning in my resignation to USI when I get back from Winter Break. This is a huge step for me in ever aspect and I'm very excited!
It's made me think about that saying.. something about.. good things happen when you're not looking for or expecting it. I wasn't looking for a new job, the new job found me. :)
The other bit of GOOD NEWS is my Christmas Present from Ryan. I knew he was up to something. You could just tell he was being mischievous. Well, on Christmas Eve I unwrapped a small box from him and it was KEYS TO A NEW CAR! 2007 Chevy Equinox. So I'm upgrading from my 4-door stratus to an SUV. finally. I've been wanting one since Blake was born. It was a tight fit with two carseats in the back of my car. I had trouble fitting groceries sometimes if I already had something in the trunk. Anyway, it was a huge surprise and totally out of the norm for him. And he researched the SUVs and found one that seemed to be a happy medium as far as gas mileage, comfort, handling, etc. It just gets a little less than my car.
Yesterday we had to finish up the transaction. I cleaned up my car and turned it in for the trade. Ryan had it waiting for me in the garage when I opened the keys. He had the loan and insurance all taken care of. Lucy was his partner in crime in getting me out of the house so he could bring it home and put it in the garage.
Apparently he's been keeping this under wraps since the beginning of the month!
