This is such an awesome documentary.. It's been on PBS for over a week.. It's all about WWII. I get a little choked up watching parts of it. I'm going to get this set for Christmas. Even the soundtrack is good. I love that 40s big band type music. Plus (sounds like) Norah Jones sings a song about America that's really good.

There's still stuff I'm learning from this war. I didn't know about the prison death camps in the Philippines. --that American civilians were imprisoned there.

I've also learned that I have a hard time watching the parts about the Pacific theater of war. That's where grandpa Schwartz served.. and it just brings back memories of him and hearing him tell his war stories. Then I get depressed. It meant a lot to him to share his war stories with me. My dad didn't care much for them so grandpa couldn't talk to him about it.
